Deal With Karate Snoopy!

Thought 10: For those of you who are not already basking in the delirious joy that is David Rees's comic strip "My New Fighting Technique is Unstoppable", I am pleased to relate here that his work adorns the Bad Plus's latest album "Suspicious Activity?"; This dude is a genius. Please check it out. Actually, check them both out!

Thought number 11: On October 15th Caralyn and I had the pleasure of attending a concert at Orchestra Hall here in Minneapolis put on by the Minnesota Orchestra. They were performing works by Hindemith, Debussy and Ravel. Though I've been something of a fan of Hindemith's and Ravel's for some time, the performance of Debussy's "Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun" was nothing short of phenomenal. I've heard a few recordings of it that I enjoyed, and perhaps it was only the fact that I was listening to it live that night, but I was totally blown away.

Thought 12: My eldest sister, Elise, and one of my best friends from high school, Chad, are having a baby! They've been married for a while so it's not as bizarre as I may have made it seem at first, but then, the whole phenomenon of child birth is fairly bizarre to begin with. ANyway, congratulations to the both of them! Also, do take a peek at Elise's blogs afterschoolsnack.blogspot.com and snarkysquab.blogspot.com if you get a chance.
AND
My other sister, Ellen, is recently engaged to be married (or to marry depending on how you look at it). She and her long-time companimal Jon are to be hitched next October.
AND AND
My step sister Melissa and her boyfriend Matt are tying the knot next Winter. At this rate we'll all be married and bearing children by 2008 (I am NOT looking forward to being pregnant).

Well, that's it for the updates. I know it was, like, more than three thoughts, but that's how it is around here. Cheers!
